Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Lady Quartz Details:

History began long ago, when on September 6, 1651 Charles II, the future King of England, Scotland and Ireland was being pursued by the rebel army of Cromwell. By the will of Providence, he had found a cover and an overnight shelter on the branches of a mighty oak. How accurate these accounts are only known to Charles II, but the most thorough conclusions were drawn from that trivial episode. A closer look at the interpretation of further developments can be found in the official accounts of Audemars Piguet. "Later named as the Royal Oak, the tree was the starting point in the struggle to reclaim the throne for Charles II, and for England - a symbol of protection, security and power. In memory of this event between 1769 and 1914 the British fleet had received four ships named HMS Royal Oak. Distinctive features of one of them: the oak bow with reinforced steel plates and octagonal cannon hatches on its deck. " In all the three centuries, Britain has not lost its title of mistress of the seas, but its once formidable ships HMS Royal Oaks had sunk to the bottom of the ocean and into the abyss of history. It started n 1796 when HMS Royal Oak, built in 1769, was transformed into a floating prison, and in 1815 sent to be scrapped. The last ship of the same name sunk on the night of October 14, 1939 after a torpedo attack from the German submarine U-47. Exquisite ladies watch by Audemars Piguet. Stainless steel case with 0.74ct diamonds on bezel, silver dial with date window at 3 o'clock. White alligator leather strap with stainless steel deployant clasp.
